Gold Dust Lounge thanks Jayn @ Alice radio

Gold Dust Lounge thanks Jayn @ Alice radio – Jayn at Alice radio is a huge supporter of our cause.

After hearing Catherine Hill’s song about the Gold Dust Lounge, she invited us over to meet her in person.

So along went Erin (Tasios grand niece) and Cat to present Jayn with some good ole Gold Dust Lounge chips which we are assured will be spent when she joins us on the Gold Dust Rush later this month.

Thank you so much Jayn, and we can’t wait to meet you again for a drink!

Gold Dust Lounge at Fisherman’s Wharf

Gold Dust Lounge at Fisherman’s Wharf – The venerable old Gold Dust Lounge was reborn on February 1st, 2013 with great pomp and circumstance, in a new location at 165 Jefferson Street in Fisherman’s Wharf.

The relocated old Union Square bar has retained much of the look and feel of the nearly 100-year-old original, including its iconic marquis over the entrance.

Also, chandeliers and mirrors were brought over from the old space, and the space has a similar pressed tin ceiling.

The bar features live music every night check our calendar for our current performers.

Keep us in mind for all your post-Ripley’s Believe-It-Or-Not museum – drinking needs.

Our debut marks the end of a long, strange trip for the Gold Dust Lounge, from that fateful day back in January 2011,

when news broke that the Gold Dust Lounge was being evicted from its Union Square location to its May closure to the birth of its new location.

The new Gold Dust was formally christened by Mayor Ed Lee and a host of other political dignitaries, a brass band, and because why not, a covered wagon.

The new fisherman’s wharf bar is now open to the public for normal hours of 7am-2am everyday.

Take a look around the new digs in the gallery below.

We are Located on Jefferson Street, across the way from Boudin and Alioto’s, it’s three times the size of the original location.

We keep the motif as a whole, as well as details like the ceiling cherubs, $3.75 Jameson Irish Coffees and the signature marquee signage.
